Dog Licensing

The State of Maine requires dogs to be licensed at 6 months of age or within 10 days of ownership.

You must show evidence of current rabies vaccination at the time of registration (yearly) and a spay/neuter certificate, if applicable. Fees are $6 for spayed/neutered dogs and $11 for unspayed/unneutered dogs.

Renewal for dog licensing must be done no later than December 31st of each year. A late fee of $25 (in addition to the license fee) will be applied after January 31st.

Registrations & Renewals are done in person at the Town Office.

The new 2022 dog tags are ready! You can come in an get your dogs licensed anytime we are in office.

All dog renewals must be completed by January 31, 2022. If you do not make it in by January 31st, there will be a $25.00 late fee per dog.

If you are licensing a wolf hybrid, service/search or rescue dog or obtaining a kennel license please contact the office.

  • License/Tag number (Renewal only)

  • State of Maine Rabies certificate

  • Veterinarian's name and phone number

  • Spay or Neuter Certificate (if your dog has been "fixed")
